I'm always happy to ask any questions about my books or myself. Check below for some of the most commonly asked ones, first - Chris G.
My list of favorite authors is very long. Each one of their books has given me the chance to explore worlds I would never have known. Every time I read a book or listen to an audio production, I used to wonder how a person could conjure up an epic story in such detail.
Everyone who knows me has commented about my vivid imagination. Let’s face it, I love telling stories. I have spun yarns, miles long, about my experiences in the marines and about my youth. For years, I have pondered the idea of writing a book, but I always felt that creating a novel length story was beyond my ability. The idea of telling a tale of that size, to me, was incomprehensible.
Then I was introduced to the works of George R. R. Martin and James S. A. Corey. Their style of telling a story using multiple points of view gave me that “ah-ha” moment. I compartmentalize things in my head and the idea of using a single third person POV per chapter allowed me to organize the story in a way my brain works. After reading song of ice and fire and the expanse series, I realized… I can do that.
Believe it or not, I fall under the group of folks that rarely have the time to sit down and read a good book. The problem is, I love to read and have listened to audio books to help fulfill that need. Therefore, I will not let my fellow audio book listeners behind. Every one of my published books will be accompanied with an audio format… Eventually.
I write science fiction and space opera. I would consider it softer than most books of the same genre as far as the science is concerned. I’m not trying to educate pseudo-engineers and physicists. It’s just good stories about a mixed group of people trying to survive the dangers that are thrown against them… In space.
My books cater to the adult crowd. If it were a movie, it would be rated “R.” Don’t be too worried though, it is not a full blood and guts novel that seems to be the norm these days. There is a little profanity and some graphic violence, but nothing beyond realistic.
